Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), or any other political party ahead of the 2027 elections. Obi clarified that no such deal has been made.
He called on Nigerians, particularly political figures, to unite against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 polls, accusing the current administration of gross mismanagement of the country’s resources. Obi highlighted the increasing corruption, high cost of governance, and the mounting national debt as major issues under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
Obi also voiced concerns over the worsening security situation, condemning the rising number of deaths caused by banditry, terrorism, and kidnappings for ransom.
Meanwhile, NNPP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, also addressed rumors about a power-sharing agreement between himself, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, and Peter Obi. Kwankwaso dismissed the claims, expressing frustration over the false reports and clarified that he had no knowledge of such an arrangement.
Kwankwaso further emphasized his peace of mind after leaving the PDP and joining the NNPP, making it clear that he was not involved in any discussions about sharing power.
