The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has formally petitioned the Attorney General of the Federation and the Inspector General of Police, urging a comprehensive investigation and legal action against renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, over a recent incident aboard a domestic ValueJet flight.

According to information made available, the alleged misconduct occurred on Tuesday during flight VK201, raising serious safety and regulatory concerns. The musician is accused of behavior that violated provisions of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations, prompting calls for strict enforcement of aviation safety standards.

In an official statement released Thursday, the NCAA confirmed that it has requested a full-scale criminal investigation into the matter, followed by appropriate prosecution in line with the Civil Aviation Regulations 2023 and all applicable national laws. The agency emphasized the importance of accountability, regardless of an individual’s public status.

As part of precautionary measures, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo, issued an advisory to the Airline Operators of Nigeria, recommending that K1 De Ultimate be temporarily placed on a commercial No-Fly List. The advisory is to remain effective until investigations into the incident are concluded.

The NCAA described this move as consistent with international aviation protocols aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and flight operations. It noted that maintaining order and discipline within the aviation space is essential and non-negotiable.

The Authority reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on infractions that may endanger lives or disrupt the integrity of the nation’s airspace. The statement further asserted that all passengers, regardless of status, are expected to adhere strictly to aviation rules and conduct themselves accordingly.

By taking this action, the NCAA seeks to reinforce its commitment to upholding safety, discipline, and regulatory compliance across all tiers of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
