Obaseki Finally Beats A Retreat, Calls For A Truce As His People Did Not Make The Delegates List As Released By The PDP National Body

Negotiations have been on since last night as Gov. Godwin Obaseki calls for peace. It was gathered that the Governor has appealed for OBSERVER, PRESS and PROTOCOL tags to be given to the people that came from APC with him to enable them to witness the Convention in Abuja.

You will recall that the National Working Committee of PDP and the Governor’s Forum had earlier made it clear that the PDP Constitution is sacrosanct and it will be applied to Edo State like every other state.

Gov. Godwin Obaseki had invited his people in anticipation that the Harmonisation will succeed but the Court and Party leadership had stood by the Orbih/Ogbeide-Ihama legacy PDP Group.

The Governor may be carried along to have his people as Observers as it will be Contempt of Court and an abuse of the PDP Constitution should his people vote at the Convention.

It is now clear that the forced HARMONISATION has failed and the constitutionally elected Excos and Delegates have been peacefully accredited.

WAY FORWARD: Governor Godwin Obaseki may after the Convention decide to settle in a round table discussion with the real Edo PDP Stakeholders or may decide to leave the party.

Government is not Party, Edo is not Lagos while PDP is not APC.
