Sanwo-Olu noted that the influence of mothers goes far beyond the home, stressing that their resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication continue to nurture the next generation while strengthening society at large.

He remarked that a single day is insufficient to fully appreciate the immense contributions mothers make, pointing out that from the quiet sacrifices made within households to their wider impact on the economy and communities, mothers remain central to the development and stability of families and the state.

The governor expressed gratitude to mothers raising the next generation of Lagosians, commending their patience, resilience, and love, while assuring them that their efforts are recognised and deeply valued.

Mother’s Day is celebrated in many parts of the world to honour mothers and recognise their influence within families and communities.
