Osun 2026: APC Selects Running Mate For Oyebamiji
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has selected Benjamin Kayode Adereti as the running mate to its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), for the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
According to Ireporter Online, Adereti’s nomination was confirmed following the release of the final list of candidates by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), where his name appeared alongside that of Oyebamiji, signaling the party’s formal submission ahead of the polls.
A native of Ile-Ife, Adereti previously contested the House of Representatives election in 2023 but was defeated by the incumbent lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency, Taofeek Ajilesoro.
The APC vice-governorship nominee is a Christian and a professional engineer, a profile party stakeholders believe will complement the governorship candidate as preparations intensify for the 2026 electoral contest in Osun State.
