Osun Polls: See Election Results Announced So Far

Voting has officially ended in the Osun State governorship election, with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) moving into the sorting, counting and announcement stages at various polling units across the state.

According to Ireporter Online, results from several polling units have started emerging, with the Accord Party candidate and incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, recording strong performances in a number of locations, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) also secured victories in some polling units.

At Olumodan, PU 006, Oke Adan I, in Iwo Local Government Area, the APC polled 139 votes, while Accord scored 126. The ADC recorded seven votes, with BP, APGA, YPP and ADP securing two votes or fewer each. Two votes were declared void.

At PU 007, School of Science, Ondo Road, Yekemi, in Ife East Local Government Area, Accord recorded 244 votes, while the APC polled 64 and the ADC secured 10 votes.

In Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area, PU 007, Open Space opposite Olubode Palace in Bode-Osi, Accord won with 167 votes against 86 for the APC. The ADC received six votes, while ADP, APGA and ZLP recorded one vote each. The polling unit had 490 registered voters, with 315 accredited and 315 votes recorded.

At PU 19, Ataoja ‘D’ Alhaji Woleola Junction II, Ward 4, Osogbo Local Government Area, Accord secured 212 votes to defeat the APC, which scored 105. The ADC received six votes, while YPP, ADP, ZLP and APGA recorded between one and two votes each. Two votes were declared invalid.

At Akodi Ajaba, PU 003, Ilare IV, Ife Central Local Government Area, Accord polled 138 votes against 97 for the APC, while the ADC secured four votes. The total valid votes were 239.

At Baptist Primary School, Oke-Ila, PU 007, Ifedayo Local Government Area, Accord recorded 101 votes while the APC secured 57. Counting was subsequently concluded at the polling unit.

In Ede North Local Government Area, PU 127, Ajisun Compounds, Abogunde/Sagba Ward 2, Accord secured 104 votes, while the APC received 37 and the ADC polled one vote.

At Akodi Obadio, PU 008, Ilare III, Ife Central, Accord recorded 161 votes against 105 for the APC. The ADC scored 12 votes, while AA, ADP and ZLP recorded three, one and one vote respectively. Total valid votes stood at 283.

At PU 01, Ward 03, Adekunle, Ila-Orangun, Ila Local Government Area, Accord emerged ahead with 211 votes, while the APC secured 139. Other parties recorded only a handful of votes, while four votes were declared void.

Another result from Baptist Primary School, Oke-Ila, Ifedayo Local Government Area, showed Accord with 129 votes against 90 for the APC. ADC, ADP and APM recorded one vote each, while two votes were declared invalid.

In Ilesa East Local Government Area, PU 006, Loriomo Isare II, Accord secured 78 votes against 71 for the APC, while ADP received one vote.

At PU 004, Lisare Palace Area, also in Ilesa East, the APC led with 186 votes, while Accord scored 101. The ADC received six votes, with other parties recording one vote each or none. Two votes were declared void.

At PU 20, opposite Old Government, Ataoja ‘D’ Ward, Osogbo, Accord won with 160 votes against 82 for the APC. The ADC recorded 11 votes, while AAC and APGA secured one vote each. Two votes were rejected.

Meanwhile, at Ife Girls High School, PU 008, Iremo II, Ife Central, Accord recorded 135 votes to lead the APC, which polled 53. The ADC secured four votes, while several other parties recorded between one and three votes. Four votes were declared void, with 202 votes cast and 198 valid votes.

The emerging figures are individual polling-unit results and do not represent the final outcome of the election. The official result will be determined through the prescribed collation process by INEC.
