Ovia Decides: We Are Voting For Dennis Idahosa Because He Stands Up For The People- Locals Opens Up On Coming General Elections

*70% of Dennis Idahosa’s voters say they are voting for him because he represents the people exceptionally well.

Voting is a right that all of us have in order to have our voices heard. It is significant because it allows us, as citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to participate in decisions that affect our country and the rest of the world.

Our democracy depends on people participating at every level, from voting for the president to members of the National Assembly or your State House of Assembly; it’s not just about casting ballots, but also participating in town hall meetings and other activities.

A majority of Dennis Idahosa’s supporters, the lawmaker representing Ovia federal constituency in the National Assembly say they are voting for the candidate simply because he stands up for the people. According to a recent poll by the IMI Research center, Dennis Idahosa’s appeal may be primarily due to his current performance and track record. Others argue that his leadership and performance give him an advantage.

Osahon Osarentin, an artisan who lives at Guobadia Camp in Ovia North East, says Dennis Idahosa has proven beyond all doubt that he stands up for the people and has done a lot to show that he means well for the growth of Ovia. He also spoke about his ability to meet with constituents on a weekly basis to find out their areas of need. He also claims that the Guobadia camp has benefited greatly from the lawmaker’s efforts.

The commendation was then similar in Isiuwa, where they discussed how the lawmaker makes it a duty to carry out projects that benefit everyone. Itohan, a local resident, claims that Dennis is a grassroots leader who is dedicated to improving his community.

It was the same story in Iguoshodin, Oluku, and other communities in Ovia North East, as residents attested to Dennis Idahosa’s desire to improve their neighborhood.

In Ovia South West, the situation was similar. They see Dennis Idahosa’s commitment to serving as a barometer for good governance and think he can achieve a lot if he stays for the next four years.

As Nigerians, we should all make an effort to vote in every elective position; voting is important because it helps hold the government accountable to all citizens. Voter turnout on election day has a significant impact on who is elected, and voter participation can have an even greater impact in applying democratic dividends.
