Reports indicate that individuals claiming to be Yoruba nation agitators had attempted to seize control of the House of Assembly during the incident on Saturday.

The government’s response came swiftly, with the demolition of the building where Onitiri-Abiola allegedly made declarations supporting the Yoruba nation cause. This action underscores the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state.

Fatai Owoseni, the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Seyi Makinde, confirmed the demolition, directing journalists to seek further details from the Commissioner of Police.

This move signifies a firm stance against actions deemed threatening to the peace and stability of Oyo State, emphasizing the importance of upholding law and order in the face of agitation and unrest.
