Plateau Governor Dismisses Six Aides, Suspends One Official
According to Ireporter Online, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has dismissed six of his appointees and placed one official on suspension. The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau.
The statement indicated that the action is part of the state government’s efforts to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery to residents.
Those affected by the dismissals include Timothy Golu, who served as Special Adviser on Strategic Communication, and Fom Gwottson, Liaison Officer for Jos South. Nanbol Rimvyat and Nannim Langyi, Liaison Officers for Langtang North, were also relieved of their duties. Additionally, Paul Datugum and Nimchat Rims, Liaison Officers for Qua’an Pan and Langtang South, were removed.
In a related development, Johnbull Shekarau, Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, has been suspended for actions described as falling below the expected standards of his office.
While no specific reasons were provided for the dismissal of the six appointees, they were instructed to return all government property in their possession. The state government expressed appreciation for their service and wished them success in their future endeavors.
