Confirming the arrests, Police Spokesman DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam stated that upon receiving the complaint, officers from the B/Kudu Division immediately initiated an investigation into the matter. Acting on intelligence gathered, the police arrested Ahmed Audu from Basirka town in Gwaram LGA and Adebayo Abayomi from Ogigi village in Ijumu LGA, Kogi State.

During interrogation, the suspects admitted to their involvement in the crime, leading to the recovery of the SIM card used in making the threatening calls. Subsequently, the apprehended individuals were transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Dutse for further investigation.
