Speaking anonymously to Vanguard, a high-ranking PDP NWC member revealed that this defection might just be the beginning. The source disclosed that the party had been in advanced discussions with three PDP governors, warning that two more may likely cross over to the APC in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the defection drew enthusiastic praise from Festus Keyamo (SAN), Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development and a prominent Delta State native. Taking to (formerly Twitter), Keyamo celebrated the political shift, calling it a defining moment for the state.

“Today is the day the Lord has made in Delta State; finally, finally Delta is APC! Thank you, Mr. President, for your leadership that has attracted the best to our party,” he wrote, hailing the development as a landmark victory for the APC.
