Popular Nollywood Actor, Wife End One-year Marriage

Yomi Alore, popularly known as Yomi Gold in Nollywood, has announced his divorce from wife Ameenah.

Gold revealed in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday that they decided to split up because love had died in the relationship.

“I and Meenah decided to go our separate ways,” he wrote.

He added, “I want all our families and friends, fans to understand. This is no time to judge anyone. When love dies in relationship, no one should force it.”

While thanking well-wishers for their support, the actor confessed that his soon-to-be-ex-wife deserves a partner who is “far better” than himself.

“I want to use this time to thank everyone who has been very concerned and supportive,” he continued.

“Meenah is a good person. She doesn’t deserve a man like me. She will make a great and loving partner to a far better person than me.

“I am not perfect. I will work on myself and be a better person. This has to be published because we want everyone who knows about us to be aware of our decision. Time will be good again,” Gold said.

Yomi Gold was previously married to Victoria Ige, with whom he has two children. Their marriage, however, ended in 2019.

After that, in January 2022, the actor married Ameenah. They had their first child in April of that year.
