Presidency Responds To Obasanjo’s Remarks, Labels Tinubu’s Projects ‘Wasteful’

The Nigerian presidency has responded to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s projects, dismissing his claims as unfounded and misleading. In his newly launched book, Nigeria: Past and Future, Obasanjo analyzed the leadership styles of Nigerian leaders, which included his critique of Tinubu’s administration. In response, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, accused Obasanjo of hypocrisy, stating that his administration failed to deliver crucial projects like the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and neglected infrastructure development.

Olusegun also mentioned the ongoing importance of projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Sokoto-Badagry Highway, highlighting their potential impact on Nigeria’s economic future. He dismissed Obasanjo’s remarks as motivated by jealousy and emphasized that President Tinubu would not be distracted by such criticisms.
