President Tinubu Extends Tenure Of NIS Comptroller-General Kemi Nandap
President Bola Tinubu has approved the extension of Kemi Nandap’s tenure as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026.
Nandap, who joined the NIS on October 9, 1989, was initially appointed as Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with her original tenure scheduled to end on August 31, 2025. The recent extension allows her to continue leading the Service for an additional period….READ MORE….
In an official statement released on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Tinubu commended Nandap for her outstanding leadership and the significant progress made in key areas such as border management, immigration modernization, and national security under her guidance.
The statement highlighted the positive developments within the NIS since Nandap assumed office, emphasizing improvements in border security, modernization of immigration processes, and enhanced national security measures.
President Tinubu acknowledged Nandap’s dedication and urged her to maintain focus on strategic priorities that align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the NIS in its mission to protect Nigeria’s borders and ensure safe, legal migration.
