President Tinubu Meets Tripartite-Committee On New National Minimum-Wage (Details)

President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, met with the members of the Tripartite Committee on the New National Minimum Wage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This meeting follows the organized labor comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) calling off their strike for one week. The committee members gathered at the Presidential Villa to discuss with President Tinubu the next steps, in line with the promise to pay workers over N60,000 as the new minimum wage.

Those present at the meeting included Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Melee Kyari. The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, also attended the meeting.
