and concerned Nigerians to dedicate themselves to prayer, seeking divine intervention in the economic difficulties many are experiencing.

Speaking to reporters during his installation as the head of the church at its Lagos headquarters, Dr. Kunlipe urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the government led by President Bola Tinubu, positing that prayer is key to altering the current circumstances.

He stated, “We must remain steadfast in our prayers because it is only through God that this situation can be reversed. Rather than turning against one another or blaming those who cannot change the narrative, we should have faith and trust in God. With His grace, things will improve.”

Primate Kunlipe acknowledged that “the President is doing his best,” but he emphasized that major changes cannot happen overnight, especially during challenging times. He stressed that meaningful progress will require cooperation with the government, which he believes is divinely ordained. “While everyone is praying, I am confident that one day, our prayers will be answered.”

It is important to note that Primate Johnson Koledola Kunlipe was installed as the new General Superintendent of the church following the passing of the late Primate Ethiopia Ayenumelo Omoshehin, who departed peacefully on June 11, 2024, at the age of 87.
