PSG Drops Interest In Victor Osimhen, Shifts Focus To Napoli Teammate

Reports have circulated since last summer linking him to clubs like PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

PSG allegedly made a substantial offer of €90 million plus an additional €40 million for Osimhen. However, the Nigerian striker appears more inclined towards a move to the English Premier League than a return to France, where he previously played for Lille from 2019 to 2020.

In light of this, RMC Sport has revealed that PSG coach Luis Enrique has shifted focus to Osimhen’s Napoli teammate, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who confirmed his departure from the club.

Kvaratskhelia, a 23-year-old Georgia international, joined PSG from Dinamo Batumi for €13.3 million in 2022 and currently holds a price tag of €120 million. Although his contract with Napoli runs until 2027, the club is eager to extend his deal, potentially increasing his market value.

Representatives of the Georgian midfielder are reportedly pleased with PSG’s interest, signaling a possible transfer.

With PSG’s attention now turned elsewhere, Osimhen’s future may lie in the Premier League. Chelsea, in particular, has made a substantial offer of €90 million plus Romelu Lukaku to Napoli, positioning themselves as likely contenders to secure the 25-year-old Nigerian striker’s signature this summer.
