Record Label Takes Legal Action Against Ayo Maff Over Contract Breach
A leading record label, TunesBid, has filed a lawsuit against popular singer Ayo Maff for allegedly violating the terms of their exclusive recording agreement. According to a statement released on the label’s official Instagram page, the artist and his management are accused of breaching the contract signed in December 2023.
Reports indicate that TunesBid fully financed Maff’s hit singles, ‘Street Anthem,’ ‘Dealer,’ and ‘7 Days,’ while also securing a lucrative distribution deal with Empire Distribution. The label has now issued a stern warning to event organizers, promoters, and entertainment companies to cease any dealings with the singer or risk facing legal consequences.
In the statement, TunesBid emphasized that Ayo Maff remains legally bound to the label, stating: “Following extensive negotiations, an Exclusive Recording Agreement was executed on December 3, 2023, with the artist’s legal representatives from OceansTreasure Limited. The contract included a clear timeline for the release of three fully funded singles within the first seven months. However, the artist and his management have engaged in fraudulent activities, attempting to undermine the agreement.”
The label has vowed to pursue all legal avenues to enforce the contract, signaling a potential legal battle ahead for the embattled singer.
