Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Rector Applauds Uba Sani’s Reforms, Highlights Academic Expansion

The Rector of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Dr. Muhammad Kabir Abdullahi, has praised Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for the sweeping reforms that have transformed the institution’s infrastructure and academic landscape.

According to iReporter Online, the Rector stated that under Governor Sani’s administration, all previously dilapidated hostels and academic buildings across the campuses have been fully renovated, significantly improving the learning and living environment for students.

He further revealed that the state government sponsored the re-accreditation of more than 40 academic programmes while also introducing 21 new courses. This, he said, has greatly expanded the institution’s academic portfolio, providing students with broader and more relevant options to meet today’s challenges.

Dr. Abdullahi also commended the role played by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), noting that its intervention projects have helped upgrade key infrastructure and improve both teaching and research capacity within the polytechnic.

According to iReporter Online, the Rector urged students to make the most of the expanded opportunities and to see the government’s investments as a call to academic excellence.

Students have also expressed appreciation for the improvements. Maryam Sani Adam said the changes had “completely transformed the face of the school,” while another student, Andrew Mikel, described the management’s achievements in re-accreditation and programme expansion as “evidence of true leadership and commitment to education.”

According to iReporter Online, the polytechnic admitted 4,596 students for the 2024/2025 academic session across its National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programmes.
