According to Ireporter Online, economist Bismarck Rewane and other prominent figures are set to headline the 2026 Economic Summit organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 20. The summit will take place on March 21 at Christ the Lord Parish in Lekki Phase 1 and will gather policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss strategies for growth, wealth creation, and sustainable development.

Titled “Positioned for Advantage in a Shifting Economy,” the event will welcome both physical and virtual participants. Assistant Pastor of Region 11 and Pastor at Lagos Province 20, Tunde Netufo, emphasized that the church is committed to empowering individuals economically as part of its Christian mission. He added that the initiative aims to enhance economic literacy and help participants navigate Nigeria’s economic realities more effectively.

Pastor Netufo also noted that the summit aligns with the church’s broader mission to contribute to national development and deepen understanding of economic issues affecting everyday citizens. Rewane is scheduled to deliver the keynote address, while panel discussions will cover topics such as personal wealth creation, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the impact of taxation on individuals and businesses.

Speaking on financial empowerment will be Sola Adesakin, founder of Smart Stewards Financial Advisory and Smart Stewards Advisory LLC. Chidi Okpaluba, a social entrepreneur with experience in business development and NGO initiatives, will share insights on SMEs, while Nike James, a partner at KPMG, will provide guidance on taxation, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructuring, and regulatory compliance. Organizers stressed that recent Federal Government tax policies make it essential for individuals and businesses to enhance their understanding of taxation issues.
