The unveiling event marked a significant achievement in the governor’s efforts to improve infrastructure and elevate the quality of life for the people of Kaduna.
During his speech, Sani expressed his satisfaction with the completion of these projects, which commenced in February.
“These newly completed roads will significantly improve accessibility for residents, farmers, business owners, and all road users in Kaduna and its surroundings. They will minimize travel times, enhance safety, stimulate trade and commerce, and promote social interactions among our citizens,” Sani stated.
The governor highlighted the vital role of well-constructed roads in driving economic growth, urging stakeholders and residents to take ownership of these projects and prioritize their maintenance.
“Quality roads are essential for economic activity. They connect people, businesses, farmers, and citizens to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. Let us unite to ensure these roads are well-maintained and utilized to their fullest potential,” he emphasized.
Among the roads inaugurated are Garba Ja Abdulkadir Road, Bissau Road, Unguwan Muazu Township Roads, Water Intake Road (off Yakowa Road), Yakubu Gowon Residential Layout Road, Kawo Layout Roads (off ‘Yan Awaki Road), and the State House roads network.
Additionally, Sani announced plans to commission 12 more roads in the second quarter of 2025, including a 5.525km asphalt road linking Airport Road to Tudun Biri Community. He also mentioned the groundbreaking for 70 road projects totaling 770 kilometers across the three senatorial districts of Kaduna State.
“While several of these projects have been successfully completed, others are progressing steadily. We are dedicated to fulfilling our commitment to transforming the state’s infrastructure and improving the lives of our citizens,” he concluded.
