See States That Will Experience Cloudiness, Thunderstorm From Monday To Wednesday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has issued a weather forecast indicating cloudiness across the country from Monday to Wednesday.

On Monday, the forecast predicts a mix of cloudy skies and periods of sunshine in the Northern region. There’s a possibility of thunderstorms in the morning over parts of Adamawa, Taraba, and Kaduna States. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected in parts of Adamawa, Taraba, Borno, Gombe, Bauchi, and Kaduna States.

In the North Central region, the outlook anticipates a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine, along with a chance of thunderstorms over parts of Plateau and the Federal Capital Territory in the morning. In the later part of the day, thunderstorms are projected over parts of Nasarawa, Plateau, Benue, and the Federal Capital Territory.

In the South and coastal areas, a cloudy atmosphere is expected during the morning hours. Later in the day, there’s an anticipation of thunderstorms with moderate rains in parts of Ondo, Ekiti, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom States.

On Tuesday, the forecast foresees a mix of cloudy skies and intervals of sunshine in the northern region during the morning hours. Thunderstorms are predicted in the afternoon and evening over parts of Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, and Bauchi States.

In the North Central region, cloudy skies with spells of sunshine are projected in the morning. Later in the day, thunderstorms are envisaged over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, Plateau, and Niger States.

On Wednesday, the forecast indicates cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine in the northern region, along with a chance of morning thunderstorms over parts of Kebbi State. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected in parts of Zamfara and Kaduna States.

In the North Central region, cloudy skies with spells of sunshine are anticipated in the morning, with a likelihood of thunderstorms over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Kwara, and Niger States later in the day.

In the South and coastal areas, a cloudy atmosphere is expected in the morning. In the afternoon, there’s a chance of thunderstorms and rains over parts of Ondo, Edo, Enugu, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa States.

NiMet advises the public to exercise necessary caution, avoid driving or walking through floodwaters, and be aware of strong winds that may precede thunderstorms, especially in the Northern region. Airline operators are also urged to stay informed about weather reports for effective planning of their operations.
