The APC presidential candidate’s visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his presidential library in Abeokuta is still kicking up a lot of dust days later. Obasanjo, who welcomed Tinubu with pomp and circumstance, withdrew into a closed-door meeting with the Jagaban.

During the closed-door meeting, Obasanjo made some remarks that have sent shivers down the spine of the PDP and its presidential candidate.

OBJ was quoted as saying…

“I am very much aware that it’s the turn of the South to produce the next President of Nigeria. I was part of the meeting when the agreement was made between Northern and Southern Leaders. I am even surprised PDP gave her ticket to another North candidate.
It will be an injustice to the South if the North retains Power after 8 years of rule.
We will do the right thing when the time comes”

Many internet users saw this statement as a bombshell, with many wondering how the former Vice President would react to the profound statement.

Obasanjo is known for always telling it like it is, which has earned him the respect of Nigerians over the years. His public outrage at the PDP’s breach of an agreement to cede power to the South would undoubtedly derail Atiku Abubarkar’s campaign; recall that one of Nyesom Wike’s grievances with the PDP is the same issue of treating the South as second-class citizens.

Obasanjo has stated unequivocally that the PDP has done an injustice to the South and that the injustice will be dealt with in their own coin at the appropriate time.

This statement is LOUD oh no b small, Atiku would be deeply troubled by the public condemnation of the PDP’s choice of presidential candidate by now.
