Sources revealed that despite holding a valedictory session for Ubah, who represented Anambra South in the 10th Senate, the leadership made no financial contributions and sent no official delegation to the burial held on November 22 in Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State.

Only nine Senators attended the burial, with just two coming from outside the South-East region. Key attendees included Labour Party’s Peter Obi, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, and former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Critics labeled the Senate leadership’s actions as disappointing, accusing them of offering insincere tributes during Ubah’s valedictory session while failing to honor him in death.

The lack of representation, including from the Senate President’s wife, who leads the Senators’ Wives Forum, further fueled outrage. Efforts to obtain a response from the Senate leadership were unsuccessful as of the time of reporting.
