In a statement issued on April 3, 2025, Akpoti-Uduaghan criticized Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, asserting that their political careers are nearing an end. The senator had previously accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, alleging that he had been systematically attempting to silence her since she rejected his advances.
