According to Ireporter Online, Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has reacted to the defeat of celebrity businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Chief Priest, in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the House of Representatives seat of Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.

Chief Priest had contested for the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections but lost to the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu, after securing 14 votes in the primary election.

Following the outcome, Seyi Tinubu took to his Instagram page to send a message of encouragement to the nightlife promoter, which was later reshared by Chief Priest. In his message, he noted that setbacks can sometimes lead to greater opportunities, urging him to remain resilient and focused on his ambitions.

Reacting earlier to the result in a video circulating online, Chief Priest expressed no regrets about his decision to enter politics, describing himself as a hustler who is unbothered by the outcome. He, however, expressed disappointment over what he described as misplaced trust in community leaders, while revealing that only 14 votes were recorded in his favour during the primary.
