Singer D4vd Reportedly Arrested In Los Angeles Over Teen’s Death

American singer David Anthony Burke, popularly known as D4vd, has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

According to Ireporter Online, the 21-year-old artist is currently being held without bail as investigations continue, with authorities confirming that the case will be submitted to the District Attorney’s office for further legal action.

The arrest follows a months-long investigation that began after the teenager’s remains were discovered on September 8, 2025. Investigators revealed that the body was found inside a vehicle linked to Burke after it was towed to a Hollywood impound yard following reports of a strong and unusual odour.

Authorities further stated that the vehicle, which was registered to a Texas address associated with the singer, contained remains that had reportedly been inside for an extended period. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office noted that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting that the victim may have died several weeks before the discovery. The official cause of death is yet to be determined.

Rivas Hernandez was reported missing in April 2024 and was last seen living approximately 75 miles from where her remains were eventually found. A Los Angeles grand jury reportedly began reviewing evidence in December, with Burke later identified as a central figure in the ongoing investigation. Court documents indicate he could potentially face a murder charge as proceedings advance.

The teenager was also identified by a distinctive tattoo reading “Shhh…” on her finger.

Following the discovery of the remains, Burke—known for his song Romantic Homicide—cancelled his world tour and stepped away from public appearances. He has also reportedly lost several brand partnerships. His representatives previously stated that he has been cooperating fully with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
