2023 League Highlight: Tinubu On A Freeway As James Ibori Crashes.
Welcome back to your weekly predictions and soccer highlights, sorry for the break-in transmission last week, we actually went on a hiatus. I remain your presenter, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah.
The last two weeks have been an incredibly wild encounter, if I may put it this way it was explosive, as the spin doctors were fully at work.
It started with the reports that the EFCC was on the heels of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the head coach of team Tinubu FC. The report was a direct attempt at goal and of course, it drew the applause of supporters of the invading team.
In what appears to be an orchestrated combo attack the news was followed with reports that the EFCC has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC against selling forms to persons with a file with the agency who are aspiring to contest in the 2023 general elections.
Then they came with up the slogan “Malami Goes After Tinubu’s Jugular”, not done they said Tinubu’s flies at CCB disappeared.
Ever heard of the super ultra combo moves? That was sure meant to be a hattrick. In short, the attacks were simultaneous from all flanks.
What an angle of run by the invading forces.
But Team Tinubu seemed undaunted maybe because the whole narratives in the first instance were false.
The EFCC, the office of the Attorney General and CCB have all debunked media rumours of a probe on Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Team Tinubu came out of the attack unscathed, and in an EPIC innuendo, the United Kingdom government announced its readiness to return to the Nigerian government over 4.2 Million GBP of Ibori’s looted funds.
Chief James Ibori served as Delta State Governor the same time duration Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu served as Lagos State Governor. (1999-2007)
Since the announcement of the return of the BOOTY the detractors of Team Tinubu have suddenly gone quiet and instead are fighting over the sharing of the bounty, they say it is not 4.2Million pounds but over 6 Million pounds.
They are arguing that the Federal Government has no right to claim the returning loot that it belongs to Delta State.
James Ibori was a PDP governor while Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was Lagos State Governor under the platform of Alliance for Democracy.
James Ibori as Delta State Governor earned unprecedented revenue as it was a great time of oil boom, not only Delta State was swimming in riches, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Rivers State, Cross Rivers State and even Edo State, it was a time of JOLLY JOLLY.
During this same period, Tinubu was going through nerve-racking experiences from the Central Government led PDP who acted as a biased referee and refused Lagos State its budgetary allocations for years even after the courts have ruled otherwise.
Meanwhile, other State Governors were busy looting their States dry with nothing at all to show.
These same naysayers that should be requesting their State Governors to come to give an account of their stewardship during the dollar rain are instead cooking unfounded stories of how Tinubu is the problem of Nigeria.
No companies are left in those states, Chevron, Shell etc have all left Delta State, today Lagos has the fourth-highest GDP in Africa, It is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world.
A look at all other states of the Federation shows more outflow of their citizens with no single inflow of investors, fun seekers, even its citizens that left earlier in search of greener pastures are not returning.
When Tinubu was busy laying the foundation for sustainable growth in Lagos centred on continuity these other Governors that are peoples heroes today were busy building a personal dynasty of wealth overseas.
Lagos State is unarguably the most developed State in Nigeria today.
Anyway, the local storm seems to have catapulted the Jagaban into greater heights as team Tinubu seems to have gathered more new signees.
Our predictions for the week.
After coming out undefeated from the deceptive attacks, Team Tinubu will be looking to return back to winning ways.
We are positive that Team Tinubu will adopt an attack-minded approach in the next football match.
Team Tinubu would take the centre spot. Team Tinubu still remains the formidable team to beat.
Our sure bet this week goes to team TINUBU.
