Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has publicly reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, describing him as a close friend of 22 years. Speaking after a visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Soludo expressed no regrets for backing Tinubu and praised the president’s ongoing reforms.

During his visit, the governor was seen wearing a cap bearing President Tinubu’s insignia, symbolizing their political alliance. Addressing reporters, Soludo emphasized the importance of unity among progressive political parties, advocating for a broad coalition to advance Nigeria’s democracy and socio-economic development.

He stated, “Progressives working together is a fundamental idea I strongly believe in. All parties committed to progressivism should unite to deepen our democracy and accelerate our country’s growth.”

On his support for President Tinubu, Soludo said, “I have no apologies for standing with Tinubu. He has been my friend for 22 years. You don’t turn your back on a friend. I fully endorse his bold economic and structural reforms, which I believe are the right steps forward. We must stay the course.”
