SSS Rejects Allegations Of Its Role In NLC Headquarters Raid; Police Silent
Some plain-clothed security operatives were involved in the raid on the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) headquarters, leading to speculation that they might be SSS personnel.
The State Security Service (SSS) has stated that it was not involved in the raid that occurred at the NLC office on Wednesday night. According to PREMIUM TIMES, the NLC reported the incident, claiming it was carried out by “heavily armed” security operatives, including police.
In a brief statement on X, the SSS clarified that it did not conduct any operation at the NLC office in Abuja.
The police have not yet commented on the raid as of this report.
