According to Ireporter Online, Damilola Adeyemi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strait Finance, has emphasized the urgent need for transparency, structured systems, and customer trust in Nigeria’s non-bank financial sector.

Speaking on the importance of financial inclusion, Adeyemi highlighted the challenges small business owners and women face in accessing loans and trusting investment platforms. She explained that Strait Finance was established to provide loan and investment products designed to reflect everyday realities, making them more accessible to Nigerians.

Adeyemi also leads Naija Money Babe, a financial education initiative aimed at empowering women with practical knowledge on saving, investing, and achieving financial independence. The platform supports women in taking control of their finances and building confidence in money management.

“Our focus remains on people — not just profit. We’re building systems that help Nigerians, especially women and entrepreneurs, gain the confidence and tools to achieve financial freedom,” she said.
