Tacha Inspires Africa As Guinness World Records Recognizes Her For Extraordinary Makeup Feat

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian reality television star and influencer, Anita Natacha Akide, widely known as Tacha, has earned global recognition after being officially confirmed by Guinness World Records as the new holder of two world titles for the most individual cosmetic makeovers completed within 24 hours.

The remarkable achievement took place on October 11 in Lagos, where Tacha conducted the marathon session from a transparent glass booth, allowing members of the public to witness her artistry in real time.

Sharing details of her experience on Instagram, Tacha disclosed that she achieved 82 full makeovers within the first eight hours and concluded with a total of 144 by the end of the 24-hour challenge. Her feat broke the previous record set by Mary Yongai of Sierra Leone. Each participant received a complete transformation, including foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, lip liner, gloss, eyebrow enhancement, and finishing powder.

The event was not without hurdles. A violent nine-hour storm reportedly disrupted operations, damaging screens and branding materials, while recurrent power outages forced the team to improvise with mobile phone flashlights. Nonetheless, Tacha persevered and successfully completed the challenge without interruption.

Guinness World Records has since validated her accomplishment, officially awarding her two new titles and recognizing her resilience and professionalism.

In an emotional statement, Tacha expressed profound gratitude to her team and supporters, describing the experience as a blend of relief, pride, and joy.
