The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational institutions operated by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), emphasizing its role in strengthening technical training and tertiary education across the country.

According to reports, TETFund’s Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, made the announcement during a meeting with the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja. The meeting highlighted the agency’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic capacity and infrastructure in NAF-run institutions.

Air Marshal Aneke commended TETFund for its longstanding support, describing the agency as a strategic partner in national development through its investment in higher education. Reflecting on his previous tenure as Director of Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Aneke noted the tangible impact of TETFund’s contributions, including buildings, equipment, and academic programs.

“The Nigerian Air Force holds TETFund in high regard, not only as a Federal Government parastatal but as a key driver in shaping the foundation of national development through its unwavering support for tertiary education,” Aneke said. He further emphasized the transformative effect of TETFund’s interventions at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), which have strengthened the institution’s capacity to deliver quality technical training for Nigeria’s aviation and defence sectors.
