According to Ireporter Online, former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Thelma Lawson, has shed light on the financial strain and emotional pressure that come with newfound fame, describing post-show life as both fulfilling and demanding.

The reality star, who gained recognition as the “most fashionable” contestant of her season, revealed that maintaining her stylish persona has become a costly commitment. She explained that her fanbase, which grew exponentially after the show, now eagerly watches her every public appearance, expecting her to deliver consistent fashion statements.

“This new life is expensive,” Lawson confessed in a recent interview. “I came out of the house and found out that I was named the most fashionable. Now, I have an audience waiting to see what Thelma is wearing. I had an audience before the show, but this is different — more people, more expectations.”

As an entrepreneur managing her own skincare business, Lawson noted that her expenses extend beyond fashion. She highlighted the financial pressure of keeping her business afloat while juggling her celebrity obligations.

“It’s really overwhelming,” she continued. “You have to restock, attend events, and stay visible. The money keeps going to different places. There’s a lot of work to do, but at the same time, you can’t be everywhere.”

The mother of one admitted that while fame has opened doors, it also comes with the challenge of sustaining her brand image and managing public expectations without losing herself in the process.
