President Tinubu Celebrates Orji Kalu at 65, Commends His Patriotism and Leadership

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to former Abia State Governor and current Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, on his 65th birthday.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President reflected on his longstanding relationship with Kalu, which dates back to their days as governors in the “Class of ’99.”

Tinubu lauded Senator Kalu’s unwavering commitment to national service, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive. Despite political differences over the years, the President described their bond as one grounded in mutual respect and a shared vision for Nigeria’s progress.

“Senator Kalu, my friend, is a patriot whose life reflects resilience, generosity, and the impact of visionary leadership. On this special occasion, I honour his contributions to Nigeria’s economic and political development,” Tinubu stated.

He also praised Kalu’s entrepreneurial achievements, notably the founding of Slok Holding, and his investments in banking and media, which have provided employment opportunities for many Nigerians.

The President concluded with prayers for continued divine blessings upon the Senator, wishing him renewed strength, wisdom, and many more years of purposeful service to the nation and humanity.
