Tinubu’s Final FEC Meeting Of 2024 Sets The Stage For 2025—Engr. Momoh Among Key Attendees

Key highlights of the meeting included the approval of the 2025 budget proposal, which sets Nigeria on a clear path to sustained economic growth. With a projected revenue of ₦34.82 trillion and an expenditure of ₦47.96 trillion, the budget aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on economic stability, human capital development, and infrastructural progress.

In a historic move, the council approved renaming the University of Abuja to Yakubu Gowon University to honor the elder statesman and former Head of State. The decision will be processed by the National Assembly for final approval.

FEC also announced free nationwide train services from December 20th to January 5th, providing much-needed relief for Nigerians during the festive season, further underscoring the administration’s commitment to the welfare of citizens.

As the council proceeds on recess until January 6th, Engr. Momoh is set to return with renewed vigor, ready to implement impactful policies for regional transformation in 2025.
