Tragic End: Doyin Okupe Dies During Surgery In Lagos After 40-Year Health Battle

According to reports, family sources revealed that Okupe had been in Abuja before traveling to Lagos less than a week ago for the medical procedure. Unfortunately, he did not survive the operation.
A source close to the family disclosed that Okupe had been managing various health conditions for over 40 years, including prostate cancer and weight-related issues. He had been on long-term medication and previously sought treatment in Israel in 2023. However, his health did not improve as expected.
Okupe was first diagnosed with prostate cancer 16 years ago and later developed sarcoma in his right shoulder.
As of Friday morning, his family had begun making arrangements for the transfer of his remains to the mortuary.
