after resolving various disputes.

This achievement was disclosed by the Deputy Commander General, Mujahideen Aminuddeen, during a press conference in Kano, where he also outlined the board’s accomplishments and plans for the future.

Aminuddeen explained that the recovered funds were primarily linked to disputes related to business conflicts, inheritance issues, and unpaid debts.

“In 2024, we received a total of 16,939 complaints, ranging from domestic disputes, business disagreements, inheritance issues, to community conflicts and financial obligations,” he said.

Out of these cases, 7,884 were resolved through peaceful reconciliation.

In addition, the Hisbah Board carried out 885 operations across the state, resulting in the arrest of 354 individuals who were subsequently charged in court for various offenses.

The board also handled 2,836 criminal cases, many of which were financial in nature, including issues like unpaid rents, failed business agreements, and inheritance claims.

Aminuddeen emphasized that the board does not take any commission or percentage from the recovered funds, ensuring that all money is returned in full. “Hisbah does all of this without taking any cut or commission. All recoveries and returns are made entirely free of charge,” he explained.

Looking ahead to 2025, under the leadership of Commander General Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, the board has set five key priorities: enhancing public awareness, tackling poverty, promoting moral values, supporting skill development and business startup initiatives, and fostering partnerships to advance peace and development in Kano State.
