Victor Osimhen Reportedly Frustrating Chelsea With £500,000-A-Week Wage Demand

Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea is in jeopardy due to his reportedly significant wage demand of £500,000 per week. The Nigerian striker, who is keen on leaving Napoli this summer, has handed in a transfer request but is holding firm on his salary expectations.

Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are also monitoring the situation, potentially positioning themselves to make a move if Chelsea’s negotiations falter. Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli, renewed in December 2023, significantly increased his salary to £1.29 million per month in recognition of his outstanding performances during the 2022/23 season, where he was the Serie A top scorer.

Despite his strong desire to leave Napoli, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Osimhen is unwilling to lower his wage demands for a move to Chelsea.
