WAFCON: Algeria, Morocco Secure Historic Tickets To 2027 Women’s World Cup

Algeria and Morocco have secured qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil after winning their respective quarter-final matches at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face Cameroon on Sunday, with the winner earning a place in the World Cup by advancing to the WAFCON semi-finals.

In the other quarter-final encounter, Malawi will battle Ghana for another semi-final spot and an automatic World Cup ticket.

For Nigeria, the match against Cameroon presents the Super Falcons with an opportunity to secure qualification for another World Cup and continue their pursuit of continental success.

Despite their quarter-final defeats, Côte d’Ivoire and South Africa still have a route to the 2027 World Cup.
