Why So Many Nigerians Are Willing To Go On A Blind Date With Tinubu By Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah
What is blind dating?
A blind date is a social engagement between two people who have not previously met, usually arranged by a mutual acquaintance.
Blind dating of course is not an assurance that all will turn out well, but there are lots of perks in going on a blind date.
Aside from having fun, boosting your confidence, having a new friend etc, blind dating is anchored on recommendations by a mutual acquaintance most times.
I can hear someone murmuring dis one don start again wetin concern blind dating concern Tinubu?
You see, we that are not indomie generation understands the value of matchmaking, most times we must have suffered heartbreaks and a blind date might just be a way to get back in the game.
So with the fun that goes along with it, one may be lucky to finally find a soul mate.
Today across the 36 States of the Federation Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu support groups are springing up everywhere, all with the sole purpose of assisting in getting Tinubu as the next elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Listen carefully, Tinubu has not made his intention known but he is already getting RECOMMENDATIONS from all and sundry. Like a blind date, the majority of these volunteers springing up in every nook and cranny of the federation have suffered severe heartbreaks with past leaders.
They feel having Tinubu as the next president would be a panacea to their long-suffering as a result of failed relationships, sorry leadership I meant to say.
Tinubu’s antecedent is what is prompting the show of support from lovers, sorry volunteers, I beg your pardon.
I have carefully studied the rise in support groups for Tinubu’s presidency and wonder why no other potential aspirant is not making the rounds like the way Tinubu happens to be the trending political structure germinating up every single second.
Take a careful look at all other likely aspirants both in the APC and PDP and you would see little or no support group under their platform.
A practical analysis.
Go to Facebook type the keyword Tinubu For President, Tinubu 2023, Asiwaju Tinubu Movement etc you would see Thousands of search results.
Now type the same keywords with Nyesom Wike, Prof Osinbajo, Aminu Tambuwwal, Tunde Bakare, Donald Duke,Danjuma Goje, Rochas Okorocha etc or input whoever comes to your mind and the search results of all these people combined would bring only a handful of groups.
And even at that none of the groups are active. Now join the Asiwaju groups and you would see the daily activities of these volunteers thereby giving the validation that they are not AUDIO VOLUNTEERS.
On Whatsapp, it is way even more as Tinubu’s platforms are springing up at an unimaginable rate.
An insight on the activities going on in these groups shows clearly that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has genuinely touched a lot of lives hence the need for him to translate his goodwill into governance.
The testimonies by members of these groups can emotionally move one to tears getting to know Tinubu’s magnanimity and benevolence.
A lot of Nigerians are frustrated and are ready to go on a blind date with Tinubu because of his sterling qualities deserving of a leader.
A fan of Tinubu who happened to see this article before publication had this to say and I quote…
“Going on a blind date with Tinubu would help boost our morale because Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu comes with no baggage and might just be our right soul mate to heal our wounds of long neglect, underdevelopment, injustice, inequality, corruption and other malaise weakening us as a Nation.” -Jeremy.
