Speaking on a radio program in the United Kingdom, Uchechi revealed that Anambra South Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah, facilitated her visit to Kanu in DSS custody. She expressed gratitude to Senator Ubah, as well as other Igbo politicians, governors, and political officeholders who have shown concern for Kanu’s plight.

Uchechi had faced repeated denials of access to her husband prior to this visit. She acknowledged the efforts of various elites in the Igbo community who are working behind the scenes to address the unlawful detention of Nnamdi Kanu and seek a resolution to his case through roundtable discussions.

The denial of bail to Kanu underscores the urgency of the situation, as efforts continue to secure justice and ensure fair treatment for the IPOB leader.
