You Conquered the Atlantic, Now Conquer Nigeria – Soludo Hails Tinubu’s Leadership Might”

The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to address Nigeria’s pressing challenges, stating that both Anambra residents and Nigerians at large believe in his leadership.

Speaking during President Tinubu’s visit to Anambra on Thursday to inaugurate several state-executed projects, Soludo highlighted the President’s previous success in tackling flooding caused by the Atlantic Ocean in Lagos during his tenure as governor, describing it as proof of his capacity to resolve national issues.

Soludo acknowledged the difficult economic situation Tinubu inherited upon assuming office but commended him for taking bold steps toward stabilizing and reforming the economy.

“There’s still a long road ahead,” he said, “but within just two years, your administration has laid down key policies that signal a clear path toward economic recovery. We recognize the heavy lifting you’re doing for both Anambra and the country. The boldness with which you addressed the Atlantic Ocean issue in Lagos reflects the courage now being applied to Nigeria’s broader challenges. We urge you to remain resolute, Mr. President.”

He also extended appreciation to Tinubu for including Anambra indigenes in key positions within his government, notably Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the late Biafran leader Odumegwu Ojukwu, who was appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Mark Okoye, appointed as Managing Director of the Southeast Development Commission.
