How Varsity Students Murdered Bolt Driver In Abuja

Obasi Okeke, a driver working for the cab hailing company Bolt, was found dead in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, addressed the media on Thursday and revealed that three suspects, all students of Bingham University in Nasarawa, had been arrested in connection with the incident.

According to Garba, the police received a report about the discovery of the victim’s body lying in a pool of blood at Ngugu Close, Area 11, Garki, Abuja.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the deceased was called by one of the suspects to take them to Guzape area in Abuja.

After the trip, they found themselves without money to pay the fare and attempted to deceive the driver with a fake debit alert.

However, the driver realized it was fake, leading to an argument, and one of the suspects slit his throat with a knife and fled.

The three suspects have confessed to the crime and will face charges in court.
