BREAKING: What Tinubu Did Half Past Midnight On Tuesday Ahead Of Tribunal Judgement

President Bola Tinubu has departed from Abuja to attend the G-20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, India, following a special invitation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The President’s departure took place from the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at around midnight on Tuesday.

During his participation in the Summit, President Tinubu will take part in and deliver keynote addresses at both the Nigeria-India Presidential Roundtable and the Nigeria-India Business Conference.

The executive roundtable is expected to host leading industrialists from the Indian private sector, Nigerian industrialists, and senior government officials from both nations. The President’s aim is to leverage this platform to attract global capital, promote increased foreign direct investments in key labor-intensive sectors of Nigeria’s economy, create jobs, and expand revenue.

Additionally, he will use this opportunity to showcase Nigeria’s appeal as an investment destination, with a specific focus on his cross-sectoral reform plan outlined in the Renewed Hope Agenda.

At the G20 Summit, President Tinubu will share Nigeria’s perspective on the theme, ‘One Earth-One Family-One Future,’ with an emphasis on the global unity required to address the challenges facing humanity and the planet.

While Nigeria’s membership in the G-20 is desirable, the government is currently engaged in extensive consultations to assess the benefits and risks of membership. A decision on whether to apply for membership will be made following the conclusion of these consultations.

The President is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani; and Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anite.

President Tinubu will return to Nigeria immediately following the conclusion of the Summit.
