How Chief Medical Director Beat Wife To Pulp In Ekiti

Dr. Olubiyi Olaolu Abidemi, the Chief Medical Director of Ekiti State Specialist Hospital, Ikere-Ekiti, has allegedly assaulted his wife severely during a heated argument at their residence on St. David Hospital Compound in Ifaki-Ekiti on September 14, 2023.

Reportedly, the dispute arose when the wife refused to care for his pregnant mistress, which greatly angered the Consultant Family Physician.

According to a relative of the wife, the CMD directed his wife to attend to a staff member whom he had impregnated. When she declined, the situation escalated.

It was further disclosed that he made threats against her life and purportedly attempted to strangle her, causing serious injuries to her neck.

Dr. (Mrs) Olubiyi Adenike, a lecturer at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, was admitted to the Accident and Emergency Unit of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, for treatment.

The victim’s family has called upon relevant authorities to intervene on their daughter’s behalf.

However, when contacted, the CMD declined to speak to the press. He reportedly asserted that his wife was feigning distress despite receiving medical attention.
