Signed by Alonge Adewale on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, the letter directed the Heads of Local Government Administrations (HOLGAs) across all LGAs/LCDAs to promptly assume acting responsibilities until the legal issues surrounding the matter are resolved.

Expressing dissatisfaction, the letter highlighted that despite a court’s suspension of all recently appointed caretaker committee members, certain individuals are still improperly assuming these roles.

The directive specifically mandated HOLGAs to reclaim all assets and properties of the LGAs/LCDAs from former caretaker chairmen, vice chairmen, and other members for safekeeping.

A dispute has arisen within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) concerning the suspension of its Ondo State Chairman, Fatai Adams.

The State Working Committee announced Adams’ suspension over alleged anti-party activities.

However, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP promptly countered the suspension, declaring it illegal and ineffective.

PDP spokesman Debo Ologunagba, in a late Tuesday statement, asserted that the action contradicted the party’s constitution and established rules.
