The State Executive Council underwent a reshuffling on January 24, 2024, as Governor Aiyedatiwa took charge, and the Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, released an official statement on the recent developments.
The list, comprising six commissioner-nominees, features notable figures from the dissolved cabinet, reflecting a blend of experience and continuity. The nominees include Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, Mr. Olukayode A. Ajulo, Razaq Obe, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Akinwumi Sowore, and Mr. Oseni Oyeniyi.
In addition to the commissioner appointments, Governor Aiyedatiwa has also named key individuals as special advisers, reinforcing his commitment to assembling a well-rounded team. The appointees include Olugbenga Omole as Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mrs. Olamide Falana as Special Adviser on Gender Affairs, and Mr. Alabi Johnson as Special Adviser on Energy.
Among the nominees are familiar faces from the previous administration under the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, showcasing a harmonious blend of seasoned leaders who bring valuable expertise to the table. Notable figures like Razak Obe, Akinwumi Sowore, and Mr. Emmanuel Igbasan, who served in various capacities during Akeredolu’s tenure, are set to play pivotal roles in the new administration.
As Ondo State braces for this leadership transition, the appointment of commissioners and advisers under Governor Aiyedatiwa signals a strategic and purposeful approach to steering the state towards progress and development.
