A viral video surfaced showing an elaborate celebration, including jollof rice, pasta, and soda drinks, supposedly in honor of social media influencer Tunde Adekunle, also known as Tunde Ednut.

Taking the matter seriously, the prison facility assured a thorough inquiry by the “investigative department” to ascertain the accuracy of the viral video. The footage showcased a spread of delicacies on a white table in what appeared to be a prison environment.

In the video, a voice attributed to Hushpuppi exclaimed, “Tunde Ednut, you can see that we are celebrating you in our own little way o,” as the camera displayed an array of dishes, heightening speculations about the feast’s location in a U.S. jail.

Hushpuppi, 41, currently serving an 11-year sentence for his involvement in a multimillion-dollar international fraud scheme, has faced scrutiny after the video surfaced. Despite his initial efforts to earn a lighter sentence through educational courses and facility cleaning, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit dismissed his appeal on January 19, citing his 2022 conviction.
