The abduction occurred in the early hours of Saturday in the Ajiboye area, Omi Apata, Ibadan. According to sources, the attackers stormed Akintola’s residence and abducted him without any resistance before fleeing to an unknown destination.
The police in the state have yet to release an official statement on the incident, leaving the community and associates anxiously awaiting updates on the chairman’s safety.
